I appreciate the support, John. Hopefully I can keep this up and not become a blog-fader.

Welcome to blogland, harry!

I resonate with you on this - it seems our kids are finding new ways to connect with each other online, and yet we, engineers living in world (and designing the pieces that make it all possible) still have trouble communicating beyond the boundaries of our immediate cubicle farms...

You are right, most of us EEs that are blogging concentrate on a narrow focus, because the ideas we want to share (and inspire others to share) relate mostly to what we do best, day after day. Sometimes something outside of that focus sneaks in, but by-and-large, we specialize.

I myself got into the blog wanting actually to put together a forum where experienced professionals could find other input (tip/tricks) to use while navigating the EDA tools we depend on. My other friends got busy, so I started a blog. I like writing, so I try to keep up with it when the job (or life) doesn't consume me.

I'm at dftdigest dot com - take a look - I've got links to other related sites as well.

Cheers,
JMF
